He helps bandage Ty's ribs and shares his sandwiches, which Jack declines. He stumbles upon Jack and Ty where they have set up a camp in the woods. He teases him constantly and tells him to take an easy path. ( Taking Chances) Tim is working as a trail boss on a cattle drive, when Jack shows up it gives him an opportunity to point score against him. When Jack and Lou arrive he shouts to them to let them know where Amy is. He tries to get to her by crossing the creek but gets caught up in the current and gets swept away. Tim's out on a ride when he spots Spartan, when he goes further he sees that Amy is unconscious. This then brings up the issue of him not telling them about what happened years ago when he kicked him out after his accident. He goes to visit Jack and yell at him for not telling the girls that he was at the open house. He also asks about Amy and her horse and tells her that he works at Big River now. He explains that he was there but Jack never told her. She tells him that she's disappointed that he never came to the open house. He tells her that he was surprised that she received as she never talked to him about it. He later meets up with Lou who asks him about the letter he wrote to Marion. ( Breaking Free) Tim sees Amy when she's out for a ride with Spartan. He meets Ty and when Jack arrives he kicks him out. He goes to the barn and visits Pegasus as he heard he was ill and he's happy he's doing better. Tim bumps into Lou in town and she invites him to the open house. He writes to Lou and is happy when she meets him and catches up, though she warns him that Jack and Amy aren't ready to see him or forgive him yet. We first see Tim at Marion's funeral, although he keeps his distance and stays at his car. He and Jack have some troubles when Tim and Marion split, Jack was mad and has not gotten along with Tim very well since then. It wasn't until Marion died that he got in contact with his daughters again. He spent some time working in the oil rigs, which is when we can guess Shane was conceived. He ended up spending months in rehab, and divorcing Marion. He spent several weeks in the hospital, where he ended up getting addicted to pain medication and alcohol. When Amy was 5, he got in a bulldogging accident at the Calgary Stampede. He spent most of Lou's childhood on the rodeo circuit, getting numerous injuries in the process and traveling a lot. Tim would always push Lou to her farthest point, till she couldn't go farther. They seemed to get on well for most of Lou's childhood. Tim and Marion fought a lot right after Lou was born. Tim Fleming married Marion Bartlett in the early 80s, and Lou was born shortly afterward. Not much is known about Tim's background.
